Drummer DAVE KINKADE Quits COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN

March 2, 2007

Drummer Dave Kinkade (ex-DIVINE EMPIRE, MALEVOLENT CREATION) has issued the following update:

"I have parted ways with COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN due to engagements I have committed myself to elsewhere and ZERO effort on COUNCIL's behalf to keep the ball rolling. There is a brand new complete album waiting to be released but I guess that's not enough motivation considering it has taken 2.5 months for this news to reach me. The total lack of communication in the band and complete non-enthusiasm has resulted in my decision.

"I moved to Florida for COUNCIL in order to focus on the band but had to deal with personal issues, forcing me to leave. I relocated three months ago to Philadelphia so I could pursue my project MONARCH and work on other things with complete intention to continue on with COUNCIL as well. Now I am writing and recording with MONARCH and also Pennsylvania death metal band INSATANITY. I can't afford to wait around and waste time with a band that does not know what direction it wants to head in and/or even continue on.

"I enjoyed the time I had in COUNCIL and wish Kevin [Quirion; guitar, vocals] the best of luck in whatever the future holds for him. Enough said.

"I enter the studio on Monday, March 5th of 2007 to record with INSATANITY. I am super-fucking-stoked about this and am really looking forward to the final product and playing this shit live. These guys are 100000% professional and fun to work with. I assure you, this album will not disappoint. The arrangement alone is fucking awesome. It was really fun to write drum parts for this album."

COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN previously announced the title of the band's new full-length album as "An Examination of Being". The projected track listing for the effort is as follows:

01. Introspection And The Loss Of Denial
02. As If A Rose I Wither
03. Reflection, An Endless Endeavor
04. New Dawn Emerging
05. Deterioration Edict
06. As Long As I Have Myself I Am Not Alone
07. Scars Upon My Flesh
08. Bloodoath
09. ...in the Mirror
10. Seeking the Prophets
